Jen Ibanez

Community. Connection. Health & Wellness. These are the four foundations for my life as a teacher, guide and coach. Touching another person’s life through teaching has been the greatest gift I could ever imagine. Introducing fitness and wellness to my native Denver community over the last 8 years has been transformative each and every day. I am so very thankful to have found my life’s work after years of suffering with my identity, decomposing while I made millions for others and finally realizing there was more to life, more to me than the all mighty dollar. Teaching found me at a time when I was the most polluted. And slowly began to uncover the joyous person that had been buried for decades. It gives me great pride to work, live and play in the community I support in LoHi and Highlands, Denver. My motto is simple: Think LOVE, Speak, LOVE, Feel LOVE.

What is the first thing you do when you wake up?

That's a great question it kind of depends on the day. Usually I either take the first 30 minutes of the day on self reflection, self-study,'s food yeah yeah. I like to meditate read any of my personal studies or educate myself on something I am currently studying. Or we have a mommy mode day where I get to snuggle in bed with my daughter my husband and my dog and we get very cozy sometimes fall back asleep.

How would you describe your personal style?

I like to describe my personal style as active Yogi chic. My outfits need to go from morning meditation, to teaching yoga, the coaching a fierce 45 class, then picking up the kids, maybe sneeze in a happy hour and end the night at home with my family, whipping up magic in the kitchen.

Where is your favorite place to go to connect with nature and why?

I love hiking and trail running. My very favorite place to connect in nature is in water. My element sign is fire, so water helps balance me. I feel most clear when I'm either swimming or simply floating in a pool of cool lake water at the top of big climb or in the ocean after yoga on the beach.

What activity stirs your creativity most?

Connecting with other people stirs my creativity into a frenzy. My very favorite thing to do is to connect like-minded spirits. Sitting in a room, drinking a glass of wine, laughing, music, all of these things with active listening provide the most creative vibes to unite people and build community.

What makes you feel the most connected with people?

Connection. The simple act of being thoughtful, providing a shoulder to cry on, teaching a yoga class, or simply opening up my home for a nice meal or drink. I'm big on face-to-face interactions, if it's via phone let's get on FaceTime so we can see the wrinkles in our brow when we laugh. And if nothing else a hug ...a quick moment to connect...that one moment of embrace can give so much deeper meaning in your day exactly when you need it.

How do you stay healthy?

  • Organic eating, no deviation. Gluten free lifestyle. Stay low on sugar intake and eat a plate of rainbow colored fruits and veggies daily.
  • Purge deep emotional holds through yoga, breath and doTERRA essential oils.
  • Supplementation and exercise outdoors and @fierce45 to keep my body and hormones in balance.
  • And a good dose of barefoot, full sweat, laugh until you pee, bass bumping dance parties as  often as possible with my daughter and friends.

What does success mean to you?

That all the people I touch, meet, coach, love, share this journey with....find the best versions of themselves from our connection. Knowing this sends me to bed satisfied, at peace.

What is the last thing you do before you go to bed?

Who has time to sleep? Lol. Again to close the evening with Svadhyaya has been a true blessing. Guided meditation with Deepak Chopra helps settle my moving mind.

What is your must-have Stelari item?

Agate kimono. By day and night! Body love...Nuff said.
